Fees and Information

Schedule of Fees:
  • Initial Assessment and Intake Session: $150-250
  • Therapy Session (50 minutes): $140-225
  • Assessment Services: forthcoming
  • Supervision Session (50 minutes): $125

Getting Started:
I would love to speak with you briefly over the phone to help determine if we are a good fit. I am also happy to provide referrals if needed. I utilize a HIPPA-compliant online electronic records system to manage and obtain all introductory information and to store insurance/payment information. I will email you a secure link prior to a first session so we are able to spend all of our time in session focused on your therapeutic needs.

Insurance:
I accept United Insurance (North Carolina), Aetna (North Carolina), and Blue Cross Blue Shield (North Carolina). With your permission, I will file on your behalf. Please contact your insurance provider prior to our first session so that you are aware of your benefits and copay. If you are uncertain, I will charge the full fee and reimburse you when your insurance company finalizes your claim.

I can also provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. This is a detailed invoice with all the necessary information for you to submit. If you select this option, please contact your insurance company to see if you have "out-of-network" benefits so you will be informed about this process.

Methods of Payment:
Cash, check, credit card, HSA card are all accepted.

Missed Appointments and Cancellations:
Regular attendance in therapy is critical in maintaining momentum. Once a session is scheduled, that time has been held specifically for you. A charge of the full session fee is applied when appointments are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. These are not billable to insurance, and will be charged to your credit card on file. Late cancellations due to emergencies and inclement weather will not be charged, given that we communicate about this. If possible, we will try to find another time to reschedule the appointment, or we can use my secure, HIPPA-compliant teletherapy to hold our session.

Inclement Weather:
The High Country tends to have unexpected weather events. Our safety is top priority; if travel is unsafe, I will contact you to determine the best course of action. I offer secure, HIPPA-compliant teletherapy as an alternative on days with inclement weather.
